Six Notes on the Ball Milling Jars of the Planetary Ball Mill

Compared with the traditional drum type ball mill, the planetary type ball mill has four stations, which can place two, four or even eight ball grinding tanks for grinding at the same time, and can also use tanks of different materials to adapt to different samples. We need to pay attention to some details when using the planetary ball mill:

1) It is forbidden to overload the ball mill. In addition to filling samples and grinding balls, at least one third of the grinding space should be reserved for the ball mill;
2) After the ball milling tank is filled with samples, the tank cover shall be tightly closed, and it shall be fixed in the tank seat to ensure the tightness and prevent looseness and leakage during grinding;

3) The operation balance of the main wheel disc shall be maintained when the ball mill tank is placed, which requires the weight and position of the ball mill tank.
The total weight of each ball milling tank+grinding ball+sample+grinding aid shall be basically the same, and the other two ball milling tanks shall be placed symmetrically. If the sample quantity is too small, only one ball milling tank is used, and a tank with basically equal weight shall be placed on its opposite side for counterweight;

4) Ball milling tanks made of different materials shall be used for different kinds of samples;
5) Ball milling tanks made of fragile materials, such as agate tanks and corundum tanks, should be handled with care. Dongfang Tianjing has stainless steel nested outside the fragile tank to prevent the tank from cracking;
6) The equipment shall be kept ventilated, dry and clean during use, and there shall be no other foreign matters at the place where the ball mill tank is placed.
